What is SmartFit?
SmartFit is a training program that involves almost no machines or equipment, is infinitely modifiable to accommodate all fitness levels, and requires only 3 hours a week to get dramatic results
How is SmartFit different from your other programs
SmartFit focuses on training in groups of up to 20 individuals. This costs much less than typical fitness training, but preserves many of the benefits, including the application of Spectrum's Proprietary assessment and training systems designed and supervised by fitness experts and Doctorate & fellowship trained Physical Therapists
Is this a Bootcamp?
If you want to workout, get injuries, and be yelled at do bootcamps! If you want to learn and get results, do SmartFit! Injuries, being yelled at, and endless amounts of running and calisthenics cause injuries, and what self respecting person wants to be talked down to? This isn't the Marines. No one is wearing boots or camping anywhere or are preparing for war here. Most people want to learn something, be inspired and empowered, and most importantly get results. There's a smart way to do this...that's why we created: SmartFit!
How can that many people get proper exercise Supervision?
Because we are experts in rehabilitation and fitness, we are trained to do 2 things that few others can do: 1. Assess: We can easily and quickly determine what someone can safely do by taking a proper history and observing movement strategies. Thus we can anticipate what is an appropriate challenge for each person. 2. Modify: We have experience with older adults in their 90s, kids, those with various neurological and cardiovascular conditions, the morbidly obese, the extremely fit, those recovering from complex traumas and more. So it is simple for use to progress or regress and exercise to meet unique needs
Also, our unique programming strategy allows proper supervision. We don't just point people simultaneously through multiple stations like bootcamps. Instead, we focus on teaching the entire group proper movements and technique. Teaching is the key, and that's why we get amazing results!
What are the dates, times, locations, etc
The launch start date is January 23rd, Monday. Classes are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6-7am at St Peter's Church in Beverly. More times may be added in 2012.
